Frosty Hollow FREEZE @ Well Strung
After coming off a defeat one day ago, the Freeze were looking for a big bounce back effort as they headed to Washington Crossing to take on Well Strung. The weather was not cooperating for tennis play so the game was taken indoors. The Freeze stuck out in their eagle greens and were greeted with miserable looks and jeers as they walked through the entranceway.
The Freeze made some tweaks to the starting lineup for this game. The lineup sure made a big splash and worked out phenomenal for the team. Zach McGowan and Shawn Gallagher played the Singles Positions while the D pairs seen a bit of a shake up. Bob Hawley and Eric Ulzinow, Ian Blackman and Lance Shaffer, and Mike Bell and Dmitry Belov played the Doubles Positions.
Zach McGowan quickly dispersed of his opponent to quiet the home crowd by scoring 5 points while possibly hung over. Bob Hawley and Eric Ulzinow knocked over their opponents by scoring another 6 points. At this point, it seemed like a home game in the packed crowd behind the glass. Mike Bell and Dmitry Belov distributed a few jabs of their own and scored 3 more points to really discourage the Well Strung group. The Freeze were cruising! Ian Blackman and Lance Shaffer banged in 4 more points to the scoreboard. Shawn Gallagher had a long tussle on his court behind a curtain and played hard but the fans were unable to watch. Overall, the Freeze achieved their goal today with a superior effort. The Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin! 18-4. The Freeze crowd outdid the home crowd! A team lunch, dinner, and BBQ is in store for the Freeze.
The song was sung in the stadium!
