Season Finale

Frosty Hollow FREEZE @ Northeast
The Frosty Hollow Freeze continued their road swing as they headed to Krewstown Road to take on Northeast at the indoor racquet club. It was the finale on the 2018 USTA season and things were riding tall on this game. The Freeze needed their best effort in this one................
The finale was set................The Freeze needed a victory................The Freeze needed a possible sweep...............The playoffs are in sight..............
The lineup for the finale...............Singles Positions; Ian Blackman and Dmitry Belov! Doubles Positions; Bob Hawley and Eric Ulzinow! Bill Burger and John Sisti! Seramil Acierto and Lance Shaffer!
There was a slight nervous energy in the air as the players took to the faded green courts. Seramil Acierto and Lance Shaffer did not even have to take a swing when they put the Freeze on the board with 3 points. The lefties, Bill Burger and John Sisti threw a few left hooks on their court to add another 4 points. With the Freeze now up 7-0, things were looking pleasant. Bob Hawley and Eric Ulzinow struck for 6 more points. The Freeze were now up 13-0. Dmitry Belov took out his opponent to bring in 4 more points. отлично. THE FREEZE WERE NOW UP 17-0! Only 5 points away from a sweep! Ian Blackman brought in those much-needed 5 points to the team! The Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin! 22-0. Take out the brooms! It is a sweep! A shutout. The Freeze did what they needed to do!
The game was over! The 2018 season is over! What a season! The question is; Do the Freeze qualify for the playoffs?
After the game, the Freeze headed to the standings page to look at all scenarios of how they could make the W Card or possibly win their division. The Freeze currently sit in second place in the division and second in the W Card. The standings stay tight with the Freeze only able to watch the standings unfold. The Freeze no longer control their own destiny as they might need some help from other teams. It is likely the Freeze are able to take the Division Crown. However, at this point, the W Card looks like the best possibility.
The Freeze hit the practice courts to prepare for a possible 2018 playoff introduction. The beards are ready to be grown and be full fledged for a playoff run.
