Mill Creek at Frosty Hollow Freeze (May 2nd)

              On a gorgeous weather day, The Frosty Hollow Freeze had their 2015 Home Opener.  The Frosty Hollow Freeze welcomed Mill Creek today and it was quite the competition.  The Frosty Hollow Freeze gave the home crowd what they wanted with a 4-1 victory.  The Frosty Hollow Freeze are now 2-0 this season.

              The Frosty Hollow Freeze put out a lineup that pointed towards a Home Opener win.  The Singles Positions were filled by Ian Blackman and Hakan Uluturk.  The Doubles Positions were filled by Bob Hawley and Dave Kniaz, Mike Bell and Mark Patton, and Lance Shaffer and Mark Shaffer.

              Ian Blackman started things off with winning his court and putting the team on the board.  After the match Ian amusingly stated, "I'm still 30 pounds overweight."

              Bob Hawley and Dave Kniaz had success on their court and scored for the team.  Dave Kniaz was quoted as saying, "Bob played really well.  He was 'on' in the second set."  Bob Hawley was quoted as saying, "It was a beautiful day and it was fun."  He also hilariously added, "I want a breakfast sandwich."  They both deserve one after the strong effort they put forth today. 

              Another court win came from Mike Bell and Mark Patton who teamed up to get a decisive  victory.  Mark Patton and Mike Bell did not wish to talk to the media following the match but they were both pleased on how they played, earning a 2 set victory for the team.  Mark Patton added, "I don't like the paparazzi."

              A long 3 set match had Lance Shaffer and Mark Shaffer working hard.  Lance Shaffer stated, "A long match with a lot of momentum swings.  I think we were a little too casual in the third set and played too defensively.  I think we need to be more physical and play with jam.  All the credit goes to our opponents today."

              The longest match of the day came from Hakan Uluturk, who had a marathon against his opponent.  Hakan won his court in a 3 set bout.  Hakan said, "It was a nice long match.  I enjoy playing in warm weather."

              The Frosty Hollow Freeze fans were loud and helped lead the team to victory in the Home Opener!

              The Frosty Hollow Freeze aim for another victory as they welcome the BCRC Pirates next week!
