Frosty Hollow Freeze @ BCRC Slammers:

 

 

On a humid and buggy day, the Freeze traveled to Bucks County Racket Club to take on the Slammers on the har-tru outdoor courts.

With a good home crowd on hand the Freeze were in enemy territory. Loud cheers took over the courts and they used it as a big advantage.

The Freeze sent out their lineup to the courts but was halted because the home team had to set different ground rules before the Freeze could get their hands on a game ball.

This was the first game of the home and home with playoffs sights on the line. It was Anish Mhatre that put the Freeze on the board and scored 5 points. However, this turned out to be the only points the Freeze would score as they fell to the Slammers 16-5. The home crowd certainly played a big factor in the outcome of this game today. It was a physical game and the players all worked hard.

It was said throughout the outdoor courts that the home team intimidated the Freeze and for possibly the first time all season the Freeze seemed soft.

The Slammers took the first part of the home and home and possibly knocked the Freeze out of first place in the Division. With only one game to go in the season, it now turns into a playoff game for both teams as it comes to an all or nothing for first place and a playoff bid.

The pressure is there for the game.
It’ll be next weekend in the season finale!
The Freeze are going to host the Slammers!
Playoffs at stake!

The questions are………………

Which team is going to take charge and which team is going to take the back seat?
Which team is going to make the playoffs?
Which team is going to have a louder crowd?
Who is going to be the tennis hero?

All these questions are going to be answered next week.

The players now have a full week of preparation.
