Northeast @ Frosty Hollow FREEZE

The Frosty Hollow Freeze welcomed the Northeast NERC'S to town on a sizzling and humid day.  You could have possibly grilled well-done chicken cutlets on the courts.  The players were laced in their eagle green uniforms and the fans in the stands were building the excitement for this matchup between foes.

The Starting Lineup for this game had to be altered due to a pre-game injury.  Mark Shaffer was set to be in the lineup, but due to an injury during warm-ups, the Freeze needed to switch things up.  Mike Bell was on hand and was able to jump in to duty.

The Singles position players were, Zach McGowan and Mike Bell.  The Doubles position players were, Bob Hawley and John Sisti, Dmitry Belov and Eric Ulzinow, and Ian Blackman and Lance Shaffer.

Zach McGowan started things off by putting the Freeze on the scoreboard by scoring 5 points and knocking his opponent out without any delay.  Ian Blackman and Lance Shaffer then bounced their opponents out of the court by knocking in 3 more points for the Freeze.  The crowd was hitting high volume as the Freeze took an 8-0 lead and the temperature was firing.  Dmitry Belov and Eric Ulzinow racked up another 4 points with some knockout blows of their own.  The punches were angry and Ulzinow needed some repair during the match.  Duct Tape was needed to keep Ulzinow able to continue the match and their opponents did not want any part of it.  On two broken shoes, Ulzinow and Belov proved their teamwork.  Bob Hawley and John Sisti seemed like they were playing in the Aussie Open and had a long match on their court.  With the score now 12-6, all eyes were on Mike Bell's court.  Every point matters to make the playoffs and Bell certainly delivered.  The bell rung and Mike added a big 4 points for the Freeze.  The FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!  16-6 was your score!  A great display of teamwork was on hand today for the hometown team.

After the players were done and off the courts, some players feasted on shrimp and smoked trout sponsored by Freeze player, Bob Hawley.  There were also players who entered an ice bath for cooling off.
