The 2018 Frosty Hollow FREEZE

 

                 The 2018 Frosty Hollow Freeze are looking for a bounce back year as they have been absent from the post-season since 2015.  Although only finishing a few points outside of the playoff picture in recent years, this team understands they have the talent and unity to submit their ticket to the playoffs. The 2018 roster has been pretty much kept intact and they are trusting themselves to get the job done.  They are wanting to get back to their winning ways and have success.

           

                 The Frosty Hollow Freeze are placed in the usual USTA Middle States 4.0 Men's 18 and over Blue Division which consists of six teams.  All teams are going to have a home and away with each team. The squad that finishes in first place enters the playoffs. There are three divisions (Red, Yellow, and Blue) in the conference and there might possibly be one wild card team. The scoring format is based on positions. The "FirstSingles" Position is worth 5 points, The "SecondSingles" Position is worth 4 points, The "FirstDoubles" Position is worth 6 points, The "SecondDoubles" Position is worth 4 points, The "ThirdDoubles" Position is worth 3 points.

           

                 The "Blue" division has been known as a division of conflict.  With many of the teams all around equal skill set you are going to have that animosity.  It also does not hurt that you play each team twice and it is usually the same teams year to year so the rivalries are top notch.

           

                 There are many people that have been saying the Freeze were pushed around a bit the last few years so they are looking to change that narrative in 2018.  The team has been training hard and they have really built in some team bonding.  You might not want to tangle with the Freeze this season because they are hungry.  The Freeze are led by Captain Nadine and the roster is as follows; 

Seramil Acierto, Carlos Araujo, Mike Bell, Dmitry Belov, Ian Blackman, Bill Burger, Shawn Gallagher, Bob Hawley, Zach McGowan, Ashish Patel, Mark Patton, Lance Shaffer, Mark Shaffer, John Sisti, Eric Ulzinow.
