Frosty Hollow Freeze @ Causing A Racket

It was the 2021 USTA Men’s Opening Day.

Pennsbury Causing A Racket was the host as they welcomed the Frosty Hollow Freeze for a 2:00 affair. With not much of any noise in the crowd, you could hear every bang of the rackets meeting the fresh green and yellow tennis balls. It was certainly a quiet venue for an Opening Day. The teams were pumped and excited to get on the indoor courts to faceoff.

The Frosty Hollow Freeze put out a lineup that took it to the Home town team.

The Freeze Positions were,

Position 1 Singles: Carroll Gau

Position 2 Singles: Dmitry Belov

Position 1 Doubles Pair:

Ian Blackman / Anish Mhatre

Position 2 Doubles Pair:

Bob Hawley / Eric Ulzinow

Position 3 Doubles Pair:

Bill Burger / John Sisti

It was Dmitry Belov that got things started for the Freeze by taking out his opponent and putting 4 points on the scoreboard at the Racket Club.

Carroll Gau, making his Freeze debut chimed in with 5 more points. The away team certainly set a tone of how they wanted to play.

Ian Blackman and Anish Mhatre struck for 5 more points by knocking out their allies on their court. Mhatre, also making his Freeze debut, settled in nicely.

With the away team now up 14-0, Bob Hawley and Eric Ulzinow looked to over power their rivals. They sure did that and added another 4 points to the overall score. It was then lefties Bill Burger and John Sisti who finished things off with placing another 3 points to the total score to close it out on Opening Day at Pennsbury.

The FREEZE WIN in a shutout!

21-0.

Every point matters this season to get into the playoffs. The Freeze are going to continue to work on the practice courts to prepare for their next game and you could bet the other teams are going to as well.

Tell your family and friends to come out and cheer on the Freeze. They want big crowds for their games for that home court advantage.
