Frosty Hollow Freeze at Pennsbury Ballbusters. (April 25th)
The 2015 USTA season started off with the Frosty Hollow Freeze beating the Pennsbury Ballbusters in an Opening Day 4-1 win.
The Frosty Hollow Freeze put out a lineup that had success. Serkan Uluturk and Hakan Uluturk played the Singles Positions. The Doubles positions were filled by Mike Bell and Ian Blackman, Dave Kniaz and Ken Patterson, Lance Shaffer and Mark Shaffer.
Dave Kniaz, making his debut with the Frosty Hollow Freeze and playing against his former team, came out with a victory with his Doubles partner Ken Patterson. After the match Ken stated "It was a good win."
Another court win was from Mark Shaffer and Lance Shaffer who said, "We came out with alot of jam and we kept the pressure on our opponents from the first serve. Overall good team effort and opening day win."
Another court win was Ian Blackman and Mike Bell who teamed up to produce. Ian is quoted as saying, "Mike and I are very good at making over 100 unforced errors a match."
Serkan Uluturk also made his debut with the Frosty Hollow Freeze playing an opponent who had a slice and dice game. Serkan later commented, "Tough match that was." Hakan Uluturk gave the Singles position a win and said, "[it was a] very fun match; good start to season."
The Frosty Hollow Freeze crowd on hand helped cheer the Frosty Hollow Freeze to an Opening Day Victory!
The Frosty Hollow Freeze have their Home Opener next week against Mill Creek!
